3. The Laduree macaron - These small, round cakes, crisp on the outside, smooth and soft in the middle, are the most famous creation of Ladurée, France but a version of these decadent bites are available from here.

above: The party was held under a marquee decorated with hand-punched butterflies from a craft shop and stapled to string, with paper streamers hanging down.The 'fairy rug' is 2 big pieces of plastic backed fabric that Lisa sewed together and made a scalloped edge by tracing around a dinner plate and it required no hemming - easy.

3. Lisa organised for a friend's teenage daughters to be the 'big fairies' who were fantastic - they read the girls fairy stories, sprinkled fairy dust, ran the pass the parcel, musical statues, etc.
The little fairies adored them.

Stamped calico bags can be used as a favor bag by Martha Stewart.
tip: These make perfectly round impressions with a stamp. Slip a piece of card stock into the bag to prevent the ink from bleeding through fabric. Can be filled with marshmallows, pink musks, mini fairy wings etc.
Pink Lemonade
1 cup granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice, plus 4 lemons, thinly sliced crosswise, for garnish
1 1/2 cups superfine sugar
2 cups cranberry juice
Directions
Bring granulated sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium pan over high heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour. Add lemon juice, superfine sugar, cranberry juice, and 1 1/2 quarts water to a serving container. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 1 day.
To serve, add ice cubes to fill and garnish with lemon slices. by Martha Stewart.
